Introduction Post!

Hello! My name is Nathan Yarnell and I'm an Art Major at CSU Pueblo. I'm currently in my senior year and graduate in the spring of next year. As for an art piece I consider beautiful, Ayami Kojimas entire portfolio is a gorgeous display. Choosing just one piece is hard, though I feel this piece, "Symphony of the Night" is a pretty good example of her work This piece was done with acrylic paint in 1997.
The golden roses and thorns, the castle looming in the background, the way everyone is painted, the way the characters spread across the page. Even the background has these elaborate strokes on it as though the characters were painted on stone.
First, let me start by saying you have a cute dog. I can appericate the art work you have chosen.I don't really know much about this style. I only thought of this style to be only in anime television and didn't consider it outside of that perimeter. "Smphony of the Night" compostion is a done well, the characters are all of center off center. Which adds to the piece of it subject matter being on the "edgey" side. It also has me thinking about the story that would come with the painting. Which welcomes the viewers to make up a story as you the viewer see fit. The interaction with the viewer is what stands out me the most about this painting is unique in its own way.
ReplyDeleteCute dog wonderful art piece. The piece does stand out very an elaborate painting with many things going on it.
